The Sustainability Charter is an enduring document created through consultation over October to December 2015. Released in March 2016, it defines the University of Melbourne's principles, values and high level commitments for each of our activity areas.
The conversation on sustainability at the University of Melbourne continues as the Sustainability Plan articulates how we will work over the next five years to move forward in realising the commitments of the Charter. It will identify the priority actions, targets and commitments for 2016 to 2020 and will have an operational focus.
The Sustainability Plan will be designed in collaboration with staff, students and other stakeholders in a five month consultation period from April to August 26th 2016.
There will be university forums held on the topic of divestment and what the Sustainability Plan is. More details are to come soon. The general forum on what the Sustainability Plan was held on May 5th, with a recording to be uploaded soon. The forum on divestment will be held in August.
