With a focus on enhancing existing academic and operational sustainability initiatives and providing activities and generating new opportunities the Sustainability Unit relies on partnerships within the University and in the broader community.
Universities have a special role and responsibility in confronting the challenges of climate change and environmental stewardship. The University of Melbourne is dedicated to confronting these challenges both through research and by translating best practice into action on campus.
The University of Melbourne has formalised our commitment to sustainability by siging the Talloires Declaration and the Universitas 21 Statement on Sustainability.
