Plastic Free July is here and the Sustainability Team is encouraging students and staff to get involved by avoiding the use of single-use plastic on campus. Whether you’re opting for a reusable coffee cup, or avoiding plastic all together, we want to know about your plastic-free swaps.

Show us your waste-free ideas by sharing a photo of an alternative to a plastic item on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #plasticfreejuly by Wednesday 31 July. The most innovative post will win a $50 voucher to Biome, an ethical and waste-conscious online store.

Make sure to tag and follow us on Instagram or Facebook to be eligible, and don’t forget to set your profile to public so we can see your creative photos! The winner will be announced in the second week of August and contacted to receive their prize.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages participants to avoid plastic for the month of July. For more information on how you can be involved, visit Plastic Free July.
